SAWAC Shelter For Abused Women & Children

Our vision is to provide safe shelter and support services for abused women and children. Through raising awareness of abuse we are also advocating for social, political and legal changes needed to eliminate oppression and violence against women and children.

SAWAC Shelter For Abused Women & Children

Saeed Abrahams from the Saeed Foundation has been working very hard to bring the art of drum Majorettes ” Drummies” back into the spotlight. Together with his assistant, coach Reuchelle Von Eck and daughter Chevon Von Eck and Coach Nikita. They’ve been leading a revolution at the Danie van Zyl Recreation center in Montclare Johannesburg. The sport came to a stand still at our local schools in the area due to funding and therefore Saeed decided to revive the drummies to those who wanted to learn and become professional drummies. We started mid 2021 and will continue from here onwards. To make this a successful sport, Community participation, Private individual and Government support is imperative.

Our vision is simple:-

* Build the sport

* Instill discipline

* keep the children

  Out of mischief

* Compete locally &

   Internationally

We call upon all Girls and Boys, band members with musical instruments  as well as anyone that can share their expertise to contact us and grow the sport to become a force to be recon with. Lets make our youths from Gauteng especially Claremont, Westbury and Newclare PROUD.
